MIKE RETURNS TO TALK RADIO ONE ON A NEW DAY, MIKE HAS CHANGED TO A FRIDAY NIGHT WITH 2 HOURS OF FUN DEBATE, INTERVIEWS ETC THEN AN HOUR WITH TALK RADIO ONE'S VERY OWN MARC GERMAINE.

MIKE GETS AN APOLOGY

Former National talksport radio presenter Mike Mendoza has received a full apology from Green Councillor Ben Duncan after Duncan recently libelled Mendoza in his 'Green Blog'.
Duncan thought that Mike Mendoza was going to stand in the recent Goldsmid by election for UKIP, so went to town in his blog accusing Mike of being a 'nasty homophobe'.
"Nothing could be further from the truth", says Mike, "I have been involved in Pride in the past, assisted and fronted the launch of the Alternative Pantomime, I have also appeared on stage at Legends in Brighton.
I was amazed when Duncan's Blog was brought to my attention. I did not hesitate in taking legal advice and was prepared to go to the High Court to prove that his comments were totally incorrect. I managed to get over 100 prominent gay people to stand up for me in court and declare that (A) I am not a 'Nasty' person and (B) I am far from being a homophobe." Mike went on to say "I would not hesitate in taking the same action again if anyone repeated the libel. I am shocked that it appears that the Green Party had no real issues to fight an election on, so decided to attack an individual. I am happy that Mr Duncan has printed his retraction, removed his original comments and realises that he lied about me. I think he may have been surprised by the support from the Gay Community that I received, including some very prominent Politicians and Show Business personalities who were prepared to stand up in court in MY defence. What amazed me even more was that the Greens thought that i was standing in the Goldsmid By Election without checking the candidate list!

I have since discovered that my comments were ill founded and totally incorrect and take this opportunity to unreservedly apologise for any distress my comments may have caused Mr Mendoza. I have withdrawn the previous comments from my blog and assure Mr Mendoza that they will never be repeated by me.”

MIKE RETURNS TO INTERNET RADIO FIRST WEEK SEPTEMBER

Mike returns to www.talkradioOne.com the first week of September PLUS the show will also be heard on another UK Internet station Radio Glastonbury.
Mike is currently in talks with a FM station, details soon, PLUS a new group of Radio Stations has approached Mike to see if he would like to be involved in their broadcasts, again keep watching the mikemendozashow website for details

ALSO OVER THE WEEKEND

We had great pleasure in popping over to the JIVE ACES SUMMER CONCERT at East Grinstead.
Amazing experience............. The dance floor was packed from begining to end, we were treated to some great guests including the fantastic KENNY BALL & his son KEITH. Both are fantastic entertainers, I cant understand why we havnt heard more of Keith Ball, he truely is a first class entertainer and a real talent.
Also there to entertain was Keeley Smith and her Daughter, and Jerry Lee Lewis's Niece. Managed to get some great photos of the Jives in action, Kenny & Keith and of course the dancers who were treated to s fireworks display at 10 p.m, this was a display to rivel Disney...........

PRIDE PARADE IN BRIGHTON - SOME PHOTOS

BUSY WEEKEND

Last weekend it was all happening starting with SATURDAY when PRIDE came to Brighton.
A great parade only spoilt at the end by the weather!!
Thousands lined the streets as the massive parade went by. Led by the Gay police Assn, all emergency services were represented, as were political parties represented by the Conservatives, labour and the Greens, we show the Conservatives as they were far better looking! Bare bums were on show plus a mesage that Football IS enjoyed by those of the Gay Community.
